A Day at the Flea Market (Without the Men!)

Kelsey, Jessica and I went to the Mile-High Flea Market in Denver for the morning. It was so much fun! Can't believe that they are actually open year-round. Great old and new stuff, wonderful fruits and veggies and lots of interesting people.

We stopped at a booth that was roasting all sorts of peppers ... the smell was fantastic. We had to buy a of them to bring home, but stopped to eat one wrapped around a string cheese while they were hot! Sure wish we had one of those roasters in our back yard!

Jessica always finds great stuff. She definitely has the eye for what she wants and knows how to dig and find it. I have to bring some of these treasures back for her because she couldn't fit them into her carry-on! I also found a new hat for girl's camp -- just in case it rains!

My beautiful girls!

What a combo -- Kettle Korn and a Jicama!
We ate the Kettle Korn there
and took the perfect Jicama home.

A "Wii" Bit of Fun at the Naylors

Jessica and Nate came for the long weekend and we have been having lots of fun hanging out.

We spent time playing board games, the Wii, pampered ourselves with pedicures and had some amazing food, including these FANTASTIC grilled k'bobs!

Some serious skills --

But Officer ........

I can't believe it -- I got a ticket yesterday while running errands and didn't EVEN know what I did! I was shocked to find out that when I flipped that u-turn, to go to Michaels first instead of Walmart, I became a low-life, law breaking criminal! $121.00 and 3 points.

I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS!!!!

Who Knew????

Look what my 14-year old pulled out of his backpack on Friday? He actually made it in Home Ec. Never heard that he was even making such a thing -- just pulled this magnificant piece of work out and stunned us all!!! The boy's got skills! It was cute because as he described how he did it, he said that the hard part was stuffing it and then hand stitching it closed!
Great job, Jacob!!!

Long Weekend in Yuma, Arizona

I went for a nice visit to Yuma to stay with my Dad and Susan (all by myself!) I had never been to their house in Arizona before, and am so glad that I went. I was treated like royalty and so happy to see where they live.

I was able to escape the early spring weather of Colorado and step right into summer!! Though the temp says 99 -- it was FABULOUS!!

Pretty white legs, huh?? I was able to be in the pool early in the morning and actually got a nice start to my tan. I would just float around the pool while the "Cabana Boy" would serve me fresh strawberries and my drinks "pool-side."

Their back yard is so beautiful and lush -- like a jungle. They have made it so nice. The fun part is they have designed it so there is basically an entire outdoor living space -- complete with big a screen TV -- all their great music is piped out there and they even have "misters" to keep you cool.

Susan was worried that we wouldn't have enough to do (she's not much of a sitter!!) so I was VERY happy to fill her in on my "Girl's Camp Puffy Sleeve" project that I needed done and she said that she could whip those out in NO time!! I only needed 30 PAIRS!!! We went and bought the fabric -- she made some design changes -- and she proceeded to cut and sew while I floated in the pool on my raft!!! No that's what I call the way to get a project DONE!!

The "retirees" really have a rough life -- when they are not in the pool watching Oprah in the afternoon, they are trying to outdo each other on the Wii! Tennis is their main thing but Susan is the reining champ of all time on Wii fit -- hula hoop. Who would have ever guessed what goes on in YUMA!!

I love you guys -- thanks for a GREAT time!!
Now it's time for a visit to Castle Rock, Colorado!
