My neighbor came knocking on my door this afternoon and asked if I wanted any Tulip bulbs. You usually plant those in the fall, but you CAN plant them in the Spring and if they don't bloom this year ... they will next. A relative of Linda's owns a nursery and couldn't sell them. She has literally thousands of them. I took a box full and she gave me another 3 boxes to give away at church. The kids and I are driving to Utah for Spring break on Saturday so somehow between now and then I hope the magic Tulip Fairy will plant about 100 or so in my back yard!

You're right-they do look like onions! Can't wait to plant some here...
I'm going to attempt to plant peonies...I love them. Just need to figure out how to keep Tibbs from eating them...our palms and bird of paradise became a tasty treat after having been there since October...guess he was just waiting for warmer weather! They are nubs now!
