Camping with the Kumpf Family

We went camping with the Kumpf family over Memorial weekend to South Meadows Campground, just north of Woodland Park, Colorado.  For ONCE the weather was fantastic!

Got the "rig" out of storage and figured out how to "de-winterize" it.

All ready for it's second season of summer fun!!

Hanging around camp ... the Kumpfs have an old pop-up that they bought used

and that has seen MANY years of family camp outs.

 

They call our new tent trailer "the Hilton."!

One of the highlights of camping with the Naylor-Kumpf

 group is  dutch-oven cooking!

I made the horrible mistake of saying, "We are having sausage at breakfast,

do we really need to have bacon?" ....

well there was an audible GASP around camp by 5 men...

yes we ALWAYS have to have bacon at breakfast ...

it's practically a CAMP LAW!!!

Why is that?

The things the guys came up with .... tossing a grape as high as they can

(I mean as tall as the tree) then trying to catch it in their mouths.

Scott missed and it left a welt on his neck!!

Jacob was the champion but didn't get a picture of him.
